Diogo Jota's children Dinis and Duarte accompanied the two teams onto the field before Liverpool took on Wolves in the Premier League - two sides that the former Portugal striker used to play for in England.
Meeting for the first time since Jota's tragic passing in the summer alongside his brother, Andre Silva, the occasion was marked poignantly here. The two captains, Virgil van Dijk and Matt Doherty, walked with the children, who were sporting the number 20 on their backs. Jota's widow, Rute, was also in attendance.
In the 20th minute, there were chants of 'Diogo' from the Wolves end, which drew applause from the Liverpool fans. The Kop then led the now-customary rendition of Jota's Anfield song, with the traveling supporters clapping along.
