AC Milan had to come from two goals down to claim a win against Torino and move back top, but that is exactly what they did.
Torino took a two-goal lead inside 20 minutes thanks to a Vlašić penalty and Zapata’s goal, but Adrien Rabiot scored his first goal for Milan to quickly halve the deficit, and it was an absolute screamer from about 30 yards out.
Then, Christian Pulisic took over having been a doubt to even feature. He came off the bench and scored twice in 10 minutes to flip the game on its head and ensure three massive points for the Rossoneri.
Torino vs. AC Milan: Player ratings
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall performance and Massimiliano Allegri’s management (from the stands due to suspension), both of which earned a score of 7 out of 10.
The best rating went to Pulisic (8) naturally for his heroics off the bench while still being far from 100%. Christopher Nkunku struggled to get into the game once again, and got a 5.
Adrien Rabiot got a 7.5 after his wonder goal and a dominant midfield display. Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuele Ricci – the latter also a substitute – were given half a point less.
Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic, Luka Modric, Davide Bartesaghi and Rafael Leao all got a 6. Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori were suspect for the goals, getting a 5.5.

Corriere dello Sport also had Pulisic as the Man of the Match with a score of 8. Rabiot got a 7.5, Saelemaekers and Ricci were awarded a 7, while Gabbia, Loftus-Cheek and Modric got a 6.5. The rest were passing scores barring Tomori, Leao and Pavlovic, who got a 5.5.
Tuttosport largely agree with the assessments of their colleagues. They too gave Pulisic an 8, with Rabiot receiving a 7, then Ricci and Loftus-Cheek getting half a mark less. Tomori (5), Pavlovic (5.5), Bartesaghi (5.5) and Nkunku (5) were the ones to be criticised.
