Milan Skriniar has not ruled out the idea of joining AC Milan, even though he has a few years on his deal at Fenerbahce.
In the eyes of many fans and experts, one thing that Milan did not address in the summer window was giving Massimiliano Allegri an experienced leader for the defensive department. Instead, the two signings at centre-back – Koni De Winter and David Odogu – are 23 and 19 years old respectively.
Having played at Inter for six years from 2017 to 2023, Skriniar is someone who would have had that experience. However, he ended up leaving PSG for Fenerbahce having spent a successful loan spell in Turkey prior to that. He has been linked to Milan in the past, but only tentatively.
‘Never say never’
Skriniar spoke exclusively to Alessandro Schiavone of MilanNews, and he was asked about the possibility of one day returning to Serie A and playing for Inter’s biggest rivals Milan.
“Nothing’s impossible. Never say never. Let’s see what happens. I have a four-year contract at Fenerbahce and I’m happy there. The people love me and the fans are wonderful,” he said.
“I also have a good relationship with the club. I’ve found consistency again and I’m happy. I’ve also improved in terms of performance and I want to continue.”
