Ex-Liverpool stars Danny Murphy believe that Arne Slot's job in charge of the Reds is at risk, even if he manages to win a trophy this season.
The Reds struggled against bottom of league Wolves in what was a dismal display at the Molineux. Fans thought that Mohamed Salah had managed to secure at least a point after he leveled the score in the second half. But Liverpool conceded its fifth goal in added time when Andre's shot was deflected past Alisson.
Slot's tactics have come under fire in what has been a poor title defense with his side currently fifth in the Premier League table. Jermain Pennant has also told Slot that this "is not Liverpool".

"Liverpool is so inconsistent within the same game" said the former Reds midfielder.
"We saw that at Forest when it somehow sneaked a win. There was no intensity, creativity or urgency. It was bizarre. The first half was so poor and it was a little bit better in the second half, but it was nowhere near enough.
"The calmness, composure and organization we saw last season isn't there. Where has the leadership gone? You can lose a game but it is how you lose.
"I know a lot of fans and the tide is turning [on Slot]. They don't think they will make the Champions League, the way Liverpool is playing.
"There is always a chance you can win the Champions League but Liverpool will have to play a damn sight better to do that. I don't think the FA Cup would save him if Liverpool finished outside the Champions League places, and got knocked out."

Before the Wolves game, Warnock also expressed doubt that the Dutchman will remain the club’s head coach for the next season. "No I don't," the former Liverpool defender told BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast when asked if he thought Slot would start the 2026-27 campaign in charge.
"It's a big ask for them to get a Champions League place. It's going to be very difficult. They're so inconsistent that I don't see them winning every game until the end of the season. It's going to be very difficult for him to stay in charge.
"They're nowhere near where they'd like to be. It's not gone to plan at all."
When asked if he would want former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso to replace Slot, Warnock said: "I'm not too sure whether that's the right decision - that's more of a nostalgia thing where people want that romance.
"At Real Madrid the football wasn't fantastic, but he had a very difficult changing room and tried to change the culture."
