Christopher Nkunku’s future is still up in the air, despite the fact he scored a brace in his last game and is currently injured.

Nkunku arrived in the final stages of the summer transfer window as the most expensive signing for Milan, but the former Chelsea player hasn’t made the impact that was hoped for, having only scored his first league goals five days ago.

Fenerbahce are now pursuing him, given they are led by Domenico Tedesco, who was his old coach at RB Leipzig would like to bring him to Istanbul to strengthen the attack.

Raise ready

According to Fanatik, Milan rejected Fenerbahçe’s initial €25m offer for Nkunku. They Turkish side are now preparing to raise the offer to €30m.

Milan, who initially demanded €37m, are apparently willing to lower their asking price. A compromise is expected soon. Fenerbahçe are now focused on convincing Nkunku, whose priority is to stay with the Rossoneri.

Fenerbahçe are continuing their efforts at full speed to acquire a forward that ‘Domenico Tedesco so desperately wants’. This new package is expected to get closer to what Milan want, and thus the main mission now is to convince the player to leave Serie A for the Turkish Super Lig.

Nkunku will not be present tonight in Sardinia as Milan open the year with an away game against Cagliari. He is suffering from an ankle issue sustained against Verona, when he netted his first two league goals for the club.
