There has been talk in recent weeks of AC Milan potentially playing a league game in Australia, and a further step forward has come.
La Gazzetta dello Sport first reported the possibility that Milan’s home game against Como could be played at the Optus Stadium a 60,000-seat facility usually used for Australian football, rugby and cricket.
As a reminder, Milan played a post-season friendly there last May, against Roma, and the reason for the move is related to San Siro. It will be in the 24th round of the season, the weekend of 7-8 February 2026, a date that coincides with the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
