Footmercato: Al Shabab in ‘advanced discussions’ with Milan over midfield outcast Adli

Yacine Adli has attracted the interest of Al Shabab, who are in advanced talks with AC Milan, and it remains to be seen if the midfielder will accept.

Since the start of the summer, when Fiorentina decided not to redeem Adli, Milan have been looking for a new club for the midfielder. However, as was the case in the years before as well, the player is very picky as he still wants to stay in the Rossoneri’s first team.

In short, Milan are still facing a difficult task to convince the player to leave, though one would assume that the threat of playing in Serie D with the Futuro helps. According to a report from Footmercato, there are a few clubs in the running.

Three clubs in the race

Per the report, the Saudi Arabia side Al Shabab are even in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Milan for the player. The problem will be to convince the player, seeing as he rejected other ‘exotic’ destinations earlier in the summer, saying no to Russia and Qatar.

In addition to Al Shabab, a Turkish and a Greek team are keeping tabs on the situation, ready to make a move if there is an opening. It seems that a solution could actually be found for Adli, as such, but the Rossoneri cannot celebrate in advance.
