This month, AC Milan could make several moves, bringing people to the club and also extending their stay at Milanello and Massimiliano Allegri has offered his view on certain situations.
There are several things in the pipeline for Milan, each with a varying degree of importance. Whilst it is the January mercato, most would suggest that the biggest thing to sort this month is the future of Mike Maignan.
It seemed the goalkeeper was heading towards a departure. However, recent reports suggest that a 180 may have occurred, with it now seeming possible that he renews his contract.
If he were to sign a new deal, it would certainly have the month teetering on being a success, but there must also be some attention to the mercato and any opportunities that arise.
Mercato and Maignan
Today, Allegri spoke to the press in his pre-match press conference, and as one would expect with the Maignan updates, his future was a big question, as was the January mercato.
Firstly, he spoke about the goalkeeper’s situation via MilanNews.
“As for Mike, the management is working for the future of Milan. There are many great players and they are working to have an important future: it is important that we arrive in the top four spots.”

Then, he touched on the moves that could be made, again via MilanNews.
“I don’t expect anything from the market; the management takes care of the future of Milan. Tare and Furlani work, and they are very calm”
