Füllkrug bitter after Fiorentina draw: “Should‘ve made much more of our chances!”

Niclas Füllkrug believes that AC Milan wasted opportunities in the draw against Fiorentina, a couple of which he created.

Füllkrug made his first start for Milan since arriving from West Ham, having made two substitute appearances against Cagliari and Genoa. The German played well once again, and he should have been provider twice.

Playing with his back to goal, Füllkrug got Pulisic through on goal on two occasions, but the American was unable to capitalise on either opportunity. The German striker then left the pitch on the hour mark, just before Fiorentina took the lead from a corner, which he could have helped defend.

On his Instagram profile, Fullkrug shared his thoughts on the match in Florence: “Another proof of our strong team spirit, but should‘ve made much more of our chances! About time to get these three points – next one‘s just around the corner!”
