Gabriel snubs Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyokeres as he ranks Arsenal teammates - 'Unbelievable'

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes spoke about some of his teammates in a recent interview and picked out one talented youngster who is "unbelievable"

Gabriel Magalhaes has named Max Dowman as one of the most skilful players in the Arsenal squad and claimed he has "never seen anything like him on the pitch".

Dowman, 15, made his first-team debut for the Gunners as a second-half substitute against Leeds United back in August. The teenager came on for Noni Madueke in the 64th minute and impressed, winning a late penalty and making an impact every time he had the ball.

He has since featured a further two times for the Gunners but is a regular member of the matchday squad, having been an unused substitute in four games this season, including both Champions League fixtures.

As Dowman doesn't even turn 16 until the end of December, it appears that Mikel Arteta and the club are bedding him into the senior squad before unleashing his true potential in the future.

And although Dowman hasn't been around for that long, he has already made a lasting impression on the Arsenal squad. Indeed, Gabriel has become the latest to praise the Chelmsford-born talent.

When asked by Sky Sports about Arsenal's most skilful player in training, Gabriel mentioned Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze before then highlighting Dowman and labelling him as "unbelievable".

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.

Gabriel said: "I think Max as well. This guy is unbelievable! This is crazy (that he's only 15). I've never seen anything like him on the pitch."

Considering some of the players that Gabriel has played alongside in the past, including Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyokeres, having Dowman among the best is quite the statement from the Brazil international.

However, he isn't the only Arsenal player to have spoken about Dowman in such high regard. Indeed, Cristhian Mosquera compared him to Barcelona and Spain forward Lamine Yamal in a recent interview.

"I don't mean to compare, but his style and way of playing is like Lamine Yamal. His movements are Lamine-esque," Mosquera, who signed for the Gunners from Valencia in the summer, said.

"I didn't have him on my radar and when I got to Singapore, he was already training and playing. When they told me he was 15, I couldn't believe it. He really is an incredible player, and I think he's going to be world class."

After Dowman made his debut in the 5-0 thrashing of Leeds earlier this season, Arteta waxed lyrical about the winger's talent and praised him for the instant impact he made.

"It is great to be able to change the energy in the stadium by bringing him in and he had an impact," Arteta said in a press conference. "He won a penalty on his debut at the Emirates. That's incredible.

"It's credit, first of all, to his family, the way these kids have been raised and the environment created. They are not overwhelmed by the environment and context.

"And the work of the academy, for helping to raise these kids in that manner with the confidence and understanding of the game at just 15 years old."
