Gallery: ‘AC Milan’s treasure’, ‘Millions of regrets’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan have a huge game this weekend, a game against Juventus and another chance to really establish themselves as Scudetto contenders.

After the win against Napoli last weekend, there has been a storm of positivity around the Rossoneri, and for good reason, too. They sit top of the Serie A table, with the best goal difference. Their improvement since last season has been frankly staggering.

No one wants to get carried away yet, though, but the Juventus game could change that.

Today’s papers: October 3

As you’d expect, the papers are rather full of things looking at this weekend’s big fixture.

Gazzetta dello Sport: “Baby Modric. #ACMilan’s treasure. He’s 40 years old but has a record-breaking physical performance on the pitch, running like the youngest players. And Allegri is preparing a trick against his ex.”

Corriere Dello Sport: “Scared, huh? Kicked out of Juve, revalued at Milan. Allegri against. After exactly 12 years, he returns to the Stadium as an opponent. On October 6, 2013, he led the Rossoneri in Turin, and on Sunday, he’s back against them. He returns as league leaders, and with Rabiot. A true romantic novel.”

Tuttosport: “Rabiot: Millions of regrets. Last year, the Frenchman, who would now be the leader of the Juventus midfield and captain, was never formally offered a renewal: he was asking too much, and Koopmeiners was chosen instead. Adrien: ‘It won’t be a match like any other’.”

Quotidiano Sportivo: “Tudor puzzle, Allegri animated. Sunday is Juventus-Milan: the match of destiny.”
