AC Milan booked their place in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night as they cruised past Lecce, winning 3-0 at San Siro.
An early red card for the away side made it an uphill task for them, and Santiago Gimenez opened the scored not long after. Christopher Nkunku got off the mark for Milan after joining in the summer, while Christian Pulisic added a third late one.
It is a fifth clean sheet in six games to begin the new campaign for the Rossoneri, and while a bigger examination awaits on Sunday against Napoli, there is certainly some positive momentum building.
