AC Milan came away with all three points from their trip to Sardinia, beating Cagliari by the odd goal, and thus moved to the top of the standings. This is something that today’s front pages obviously highlighted.
Milan needed to start the year with a win, given the tight schedule on the cards, and that’s exactly what they did. It wasn’t the best performance from the Rossoneri, especially in the first half, but they clinched the win and that is what matters in the end.
Massimiliano Allegri and his men are now two points ahead of Inter, who will be up against Bologna tomorrow morning. In other words, the Rossoneri are at the top of the standings and could potentially stay there.
