AC Milan just about got the job done against Lecce at San Siro on Sunday night, even if it wasn’t a vintage performance.

With some chances spurned and Falcone in inspired form, it looked like Milan were heading for another case of points dropped against a struggling side. However, Niclas Füllkrug scored his first goal since arriving with 15 minutes left on the clock to secure an important win.

Tuttosport: “Füllkrug, the anti-Pio. That’s what 9s are for. 1-0 against Lecce: Milan remain 3 points behind Inter.”

QS: “Milan, a Scudetto-worthy jump. After beating Lecce 1-0, Füllkrug’s goal decides the tie: three points off the top.”
