AC Milan face their biggest test of the season so far tonight, a Serie A clash against the reigning champions, Napoli.
After the first four matchdays of the season, many believe that Milan could be more than a Champions League contender. In fairness, they are right to believe that, given the assurances that Massimiliano Allegri has brought.
Of course, though, the caveat is that there has not really been a proper test. Bologna, notably, was the most difficult so far. However, there is certainly a level between them and the Scudetto winners of last season.
The Papers: Sunday, September 28th
This morning’s newspapers, as expected, feature a lot about the weekend’s action. However, there is some focus on the game.
Gazzetta: “Heads or tails. The winner will get a rich prize. We’ll reveal all of Allegri and Conte’s moves.”
CorSport: “Milan-Napoli: the centre of power. Midfield decisive: Rabiot, Modric and Fofana against De Bruyne, Lobotka, Anguissa and McT.”
QS: “Milan-Napoli, the Scudetto test. Allegri and Conte, an infinite battle.”
