AC Milan are busy in the transfer market at the moment, and this is reflected in the fact that they are present on the front pages in Italy.
In case you missed the big news from Wednesday evening, Ardon Jashari has officially joined from Club Brugge in an operation worth a total of €39m. However, the squad is not complete even if the midfield is.
Milan are now pressing ahead with trying to sign a new centre-forward, while also attempting to close the operation for Zachary Athekame, the right-back who started for Young Boys last night against FC Basel.
Today’s front pages
Below is how the Italian newspapers look, and all four of the majors sports ones make reference to Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Hojlund: He wants to return to Italy. He earns less than Viahovic. And Milan are thinking about it…”
Corriere dello Sport: “Milan: Hojlund. Vlahovic is currently unapproachable due to his costs. The Danish striker, who will leave Manchester, is now a serious option. Athekame is getting closer and closer.”
Tuttosport: “Milan babel, who’s in charge is unknown… From the Ricci and Liberali transfer cases to Branchini’s words on Jashari, up to Galliani’s sponsor Ibra.”
QS: “Milan, back to the future. Jashari has signed, Galliani will be a Rossonero again.”
