AC Milan will start their Serie A campaign tonight, taking on Cremonese at San Siro, and it’s a must-win for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.
After the comfortable 2-0 win against Bari in the Coppa Italia preliminaries, Milan now need to show their qualities against a top-tier team, albeit a newly-promoted one: Cremonese. Indeed, the Rossoneri are massive favourites but still, the job has to be done.
Allegri spoke with a lot of wisdom during his pre-match press conference, and after having served a ban against Bari, he will be in the dugout for the first time tonight. The atmosphere won’t be as electric at San Siro, but it will surely be a special moment for him.
Today’s newspapers naturally focused on all teams (more or less) on the front pages, with only a few lines here and there on Milan. Gazzetta dello Sport, for example, highlighted the important addition of Luka Modric to the team.
