AC Milan closed out 2025 with a convincing victory, beating Hellas Verona by three goals to nil at San Siro on Sunday.
It took 45 minutes for Milan to break the deadlock but it was Christian Pulisic who opened the scoring with a close-range finish. Christopher Nkunku finally got off the mark in Serie A with a brace inside four second half minutes to seal an important three points.

Inter’s win against Atalanta means that they will end the year top with Milan just one point behind, and it is shaping up to be a brilliant title race. Below is how this morning’s papers look.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Nkunku: He inflates Milan with two goals. He wants a future with the Diavolo. Verona overwhelmed, Allegri remains second, one point behind.”
Tuttosport: “Nkunku scores. And Milan inflate. A brace for… Füllkrug. The German arrives, the Frenchman unleashes himself against Verona after the usual Pulisic goal.”
QS: “Finally, super Nkunku. Allegri finds his smile again.”
