Bragging rights are up for stake as Inter host AC Milan in the first Derby della Madonnina clash of 2025-26 on Sunday night.

Inter go into the game two points higher in the table, meaning that they can extend the gap to five points with a win or alternatively Milan could jump their city rivals and compact things even further, especially after Napoli’s win on Saturday night against Atalanta.

Today’s front pages

As is to be expected given the magnitude of the game, each of the major papers dedicates a section of their front page to the derby.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Timeless. The magic of the Scudetto-worthy derby has returned. Chivu aims for the top spot and a five-point lead over the Rossoneri with Lautaro and Thuram. Allegri is looking to overtake the Nerazzurri with Leao and Pulisic.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Chivu-Max with the cards shown. Inter-Milan at 20:45: over €8m in takings.”

Tuttosport: “Milan Grand Gala. Scudetto Derby. 20:45: Inter-Milan for first. Chivu: ‘I want smiles, anxiety saps energy’. Allegri: ‘It’ll be a wonderful evening’.”
