AC Milan produced one of their best performances of the season so far on Tuesday night as they ran out rampant winners against Bologna.

After a bit of a shaky start, the game was very much in hand by half-time after Ruben Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring and Christopher Nkunku buried a penalty that he had earned. Adrien Rabiot netted early in the second half, and the scoreline would remain 3-0.

The major newspapers in Italy this morning all make reference to the game at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara, which moves Milan back to five points behind Inter, while Bologna have won just one in 11 league games.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “What the hell! Milan crush Bologna and remain -5 behind Inter. The Rossoneri win and put on a show. Loftus-Cheek, Nkunku and Rabiot all scored. Allegri: ‘The important thing is to be seven points ahead of Roma’.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Lungo muso. Milan have fun. Bologna beaten: Max is five points behind Chivu. Allegri wins 3-0 at the Dall’Ara: a message to Inter. A one-sided game and their 22nd consecutive positive result. Loftus-Cheek opens the scoring. Nkunku scores a penalty (the fifth goal). Rabiot completes the celebrations.”

Tuttosport: “Milan: a Scudetto-worthy show. A show of strength without Leao, Pulisic and Saelemaekers. Total domination: a 22nd consecutive positive result. Rabiot: ‘We’re increasingly hungry and confident. Thank you, Allegri’.”

QS: “Super Diavolo, Max believes. Loftus-Nkunku-Rabiot: 3-0 against Bologna, Milan remain 5 points behind Chivu.”
