AC Milan will be busy this summer, and we have seen as much with the arrivals of Samuele Ricci, Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare. But, it is not the end.
There have been three, maybe four, signings made by Milan already this summer. Each brings its own impact to the system, and in turn, raises the hope for next season. However, the Rossoneri are far from done, as Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes.
Further strengthening is needed and desired. In fact, it could start shortly, with Milan expecting an answer from Club Brugge about Ardon Jashari. A final bid was made last week, and he is the next piece of the puzzle hoped to be brought in.
Two new full-backs
Following that, it moves to the full-backs. Theo Hernandez is leaving whilst there is still little clarity on the right. So, the Rossoneri will have to make moves in the wide defensive positions. This morning, a €15m bid for Guela Doue has been rejected, whilst Miguel Gutierrez is liked to replace the Frenchman. There is promise for the future of both, which strengthens the Rossoneri’s interest.
Leoni derby
Sticking in the defence, Giovanni Leoni is a long-term interest, and Milan could look to act this summer. Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw have both been linked away, though the latter is more at risk of leaving this summer.
For this reason, a new defender is a must, and Leoni ticks several boxes. The inclusion of Mattia Liberali in the deal could also make things sweeter for the Diavolo, who are already at peace with the midfielder’s desire to leave.
The striker
Finally, it is the front-line. Milan want and need another striker, to raise the numbers in the squad and in the league. Santiago Gimenez did not completely win over the faith of Massimiliano Allegri since joining, so he hopes for a reinforcement.
Dusan Vlahovic’s name has crept up again, and he is keen to work with Allegri. However, Premier League stars are also being listed as potential options.
