AC Milan host Fiorentina this weekend, but it will not be a game without struggle, it seems, given that both teams are struggling.
An international break can be absolutely fine, and for Stefano Pioli, it may even be welcomed. A chance to recuperate and create a new idea for his squad, who have underperformed so far this season in Serie A.
For Massimiliano Allegri, though, it has come at a terrible time. It has halted his team’s good work and taken them away from training for almost two weeks, which he didn’t need after the Juventus game. It has also hurt his team.
Injuries and issues
Unfortunately, Milan have suffered quite a few issues over the break, as Gazzetta dello Sport writes. Adrien Rabiot suffered a knock; he is believed to be ok, but the issue is there. Rafael Leao was sent home due to his condition; Alexis Saelemaekers has an issue with his right flexor, and there is some worry about Pervis Estupinan.

To add to this, Santiago Gimenez and Christian Pulisic, who has also seen his ankle flare up, will not be back until Thursday. An unneeded break, indeed.
He is not alone with these issues, though. Moise Kean seems likely to miss the game, whilst Dodo, Jacopo Fazzini and Marin Pongracic are all doubts. The list is not as long, but the issues are still present.
