GdS: Camarda heading for surgery and 2+ months out – Milan’s dilemma

2 hours ago 1

Francesco Camarda is currently on loan at Lecce, but it seems that he could return to AC Milan this month. What is not undecided now, though, is that he will head for surgery.

There has been a lot said about Camarda and how the rest of his season looks recently. Shortly after it was reported that he had suffered a shoulder injury, there were a few suggestions that he would return to Milan.

In fact, there was a hope that he could even act in a supporting role for Massimiliano Allegri in the second half of the season. However, those suggestions have now been shut down with his injury requiring a significant lay-off.

Camarda decision

As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, the Italian has decided to go to surgery, with it being too painful for him to consider playing currently. Conservative therapy was considered, but the potential risks of a longer absence are not worthwhile.

So, he will now be absent until the summer, with the report stating that he will be out for the next two or three months, at least. Whilst he may be back for the end of the season, it seems next season is the big focus.

That is not the only thing concerning the Rossoneri, though. In fact, a decision must be made about his future. After all, the agreement with Lecce has now been made difficult to see through, especially if the wishes are to heal at Milanello and return at the end of the season with his boyhood club.

Nevertheless, no decisions have been made yet, and conversations will continue. Though a decision is expected this week, perhaps within the next two days.
