GdS: Cardinale back at Milanello ‘after months’ – details of meetings with Allegri and Furlani

This morning, Gerry Cardinale attended Milanello to show his support for AC Milan, and he is currently meeting a few key members of staff.

It has been a while since Cardinale, the owner of RedBird and Milan, has been seen in a Rossoneri setting. In fact, his lack of visibility around the club in recent times has been widely criticised by the fans and the media.

However, things could change, with the American businessman present at the training ground this morning.

Cardinale back

As Gazzetta dello Sport writes in the past few minutes, ‘Cardinale is back’. He has had several meetings in Europe, including one at the NBA Europe event in London, and so he has also taken the opportunity to hold some meetings in Milano.

He first met with CEO Giorgio Furlani, and at the time of the report being published, he was engaging in a meeting with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, to get a gist of the wider picture, as a business and a football club.

His visit is significant for several reasons, with Gazzetta referencing his absence. Officially, he has not been at San Siro since September 2024, and whilst there were talks of a meeting with staff at Milanello in April 2025, nothing was mentioned regarding that visit.

In the past few months, contact has been regular, and so this in-person meeting is seen as a continuation of that, especially with RedBird finalising a refinancing currently. The club is evolving, and his discussion with Allegri has likely referenced this.

Since his return, the Italian has made the club dream of the Scudetto once again, but if nothing else, the Champions League target is in sight.
