AC Milan are hoping to cash in €10m from Ismael Bennacer’s departure this summer, but everything hinges on the midfielder accepting a move to Saudi Arabia.
Bennacer spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, and as the French side deemed the €12m buy-out clause too high, the midfielder returned to Milan at the end of the campaign. However, he’s not expected to remain at the club.
Indeed, work has been underway for quite a few weeks now to find a new destination for the 27-year-old. The fact that Milan have already signed Samuele Ricci, Luka Modric and soon also Ardon Jashari for the midfield says a lot.
Milan await Bennacer’s response
According to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning (see photo below), Milan have received an offer worth €10m from Al-Ittihad for Bennacer. However, the player is yet to give the green light to the time and negotiations are thus stalled.

Given that Milan would make a decent capital gain, more specifically around €7m, they are obviously prepared to accept the offer. They would also save a lot on Bennacer’s salary, with him currently costing the club €7.4m gross per season.
It’s expected that Bennacer will make a decision on his future very soon, as he also needs to start training with whatever team he ends up joining.
