AC Milan will depart for Singapore tonight, but the transfer market has also picked up steam in the last few hours.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are getting closer to Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan , who could replace Theo Hernandez on the left flank. They have also checked on the fitness of Marc Pubill , one of the candidates (though not necessarily the favorite) to take over the right flank.
They are also starting to seriously consider the future of the attack, with Dusan Vlahovic their number one target unless another top player like him (for example, Manchester United’s Hojlund) arrives on loan. All this is in addition to the courtship of Ardon Jashari, to complete the midfield.
Estupinan closing in
The path for Estupinan is now clear: Milan have reached an agreement with the Brighton defender over a five-year contract (to be determined if the final year will be an option) worth €2.5m net per season.
The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is acting as a mediator between the clubs to try to secure a discount on the English club’s asking price (€23m), which is higher than the amount the Portuguese agent had agreed to in the spring.
He made it clear that Estupinan wanted to explore a new adventure, and Brighton were looking for a replacement (they signed Maxim De Cuyper). Milan started with an offer of €12m plus bonuses (which was rejected) and would like to close the deal at €15m. A total of €20m is considered the limit.

Discussions were intense yesterday, and it’s not out of the question that the gap could be bridged in the coming hours. The Rossoneri’s hope Estupinan will arrive in Milan for a medical at the beginning of the week and then join his teammates in Singapore.
Since he holds a Spanish passport, the registration process won’t be as complicated as it is for non-EU players. After the Archie Brown affair and the Englishman’s U-turn (and that of his entourage), the club is proceeding cautiously, but the foundations for a white smoke are in place.
Checks for Pubill
Milan yesterday checked the condition of the Almeria right-back’s left knee, which underwent surgery in the fall of 2023. The tests conducted yesterday in Barcelona, with the approval of the Spanish club and a trusted doctor from the club, yielded encouraging results.
That doesn’t mean Furlani and Tare will definitely sign him. The club wanted to make this move to potentially further explore the matter, aware that the price tag is around €15m and that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the Spain U21 international too.
On the right, Milan also have other options, including Guela Doué whom Strasbourg are willing to sell for only €25 plus bonuses. The intention is to revisit the deal, just to explore for a final time if there is the possibility of finding a meeting point.

Vlahovic an option
The centre-forward deal isn’t as pressing as the full-back deal, but it’s still not a secondary consideration for AC Milan. The club are looking to invest in a striker and the favourite is Dusan Vlahovic, but the conditions aren’t there yet to make a move.
Furlani and Tare will have to wait for another striker to arrive in Turin, after Jonathan David. At that point, with the Serbian’s approval of a move to Allegri’s side, the road will be a little easier. Milan are ready to offer Dusan a significant contract, albeit one much lower than the €12m net he gets now.
The offer could be €6m net per year plus bonuses tied to goals and a Scudetto victory. However, his salary would increase in future seasons with a top-four finish (or top-five, depending on the ranking). The sticking point remains the negotiations with Juventus, who are still hoping for a fee.
Negotiations for a renewal have never gained traction, and even the possibility of a one-year extension to send him out on loan with an obligation to buy (at a low price) isn’t warming up the striker’s entourage.
Milan are watching and waiting for the right conditions to enter the fray. At the same time, other options are also being monitored. Rasmus Hojlund, offered to the Rossoneri, could be a loan-only option because he doesn’t have the qualities of a pure No.9, but he shouldn’t be ruled out.
