This afternoon, it was reported that AC Milan would potentially meet with Galatasaray to discuss the future of Youssouf Fofana. That may not be the case anymore, though.
Things move quickly in football, and today it was reported that representatives from Turkish giants Galatasaray would be heading to Italy to hold meetings regarding certain players; one of them on the list was Fofana.
However, it seems that they may already have to focus on other ideas.
No to Turkey
Gazzetta dello Sport, in the past hour, have reported that the Frenchman has ‘no openness’ to the idea, which would write off a move. As a result, it seems that meetings will take place with Juventus regarding the availability of Teun Koopmeiners.
Regarding Fofana, it is not Galatasaray’s first involvement with the midfielder. In fact, the report suggests that contact had taken place between the summer mercato and November regarding a possible transfer.

The January mercato is long, and with a central defender still being considered, he could be allowed to leave if it would aid the Rossoneri’s pursuit of another player.
Fofana is not the only midfielder who has said no to an exit this winter, though, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek also being contacted by Lazio, with a similar sell to buy elsewhere idea in mind.
