Niclas Füllkrug appears to be just one step away from joining AC Milan on a loan, and according to a report, the formula of the deal means another striker signing cannot be ruled out.
Since Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku have struggled massively with the goalscoring, Milan need to bring in at least one striker next month. By all accounts, West Ham’s Füllkrug will arrive on loan with an option to buy as the clubs are preparing the documents.
It seems likely that the German will be the only signing for the attack, as such, but another signing cannot be ruled out. According to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning (see photo below), the formula of the Füllkrug deal means there is still room for Milan.
Joshua Zirkzee is another striker who has been linked with the Rossoneri and assuming that he’s still at Man Utd in late January, per the newspaper, then a move could be made. In that case, departures would also be possible with many rumours circulating regarding Nkunku.
For now, however, Milan are focused on securing the deal for the German striker so that he can be available against Genoa on January 8. Then, they also need to bring in a centre-back to bolster the defence; preferably one who also can play as a wing-back.
