The AC Milan squad didn’t train on Monday after their win over Roma, but Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic were at Milanello anyway.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) recall, the duo are recovering from respective muscle injuries that they sustained during the most recent international break, and they were at the training complex on Monday despite it being a day off.
Pulisic was there to continue his recovery program from a torn soleus muscle in his left calf. This is a very delicate area, prompting the Rossoneri medical staff to be cautious. Nonetheless, he is ‘undoubtedly’ going to be available in Parma, with Rabiot also pushing to be available.
Rabiot hopes
Rabiot underwent routine treatment yesterday and then completed a personalised training session. If he continues to make progress this week, Allegri will include him in the squad for the trip to Emilia, at least starting on the bench.
This is an important return, not only for the calibre of the player himself, but also to provide alternatives to a midfield that has been stretched thin in recent matches. Against Fiorentina, Pisa, Atalanta and Roma, Allegri was forced to rely on the same lineup of Fofana, Modric, and Ricci.

Loftus-Cheek returned for Atalanta, but his role was more focused on supporting the equally depleted attack than the midfield. Ardon Jashari – on the bench against Roma – obviously needs to regain his fitness after more than two months sidelined with a broken fibula.
In short, whether it’s from the start or during the match, Rabiot’s recovery is gold for Max. Let’s hope that the international break – just after the away match in Parma – doesn’t cause damage like it did in October.
