GdS: Jashari expected to return before November break – the game targeted

Some positive news has emerged regarding Ardon Jashari, the expensive summer signing that AC Milan have not seen much of so far.

Jashari was the subject of long and exhausting negotiations between Milan and Club Brugge during the summer months. He eventually arrived for over €30m amid a lot of excitement from the fan base, but by a cruel twist of fate he has only made one league appearance so far.

The game circled

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the concrete target is to see Jashari on the bench before the break, more specifically on Saturday 8 November in the away game against Parma. Things are going to plan so far: the midfielder is running on the pitch, in his boots.

This is the final ‘step’ before the end of his recovery and his return to full training with the rest of the squad. The Swiss is about to put the compound fracture of his right fibula – sustained on August 28th in training – behind him, and he is desperate to play.

Next week, he will undergo an X-ray to certify the complete healing of the bone, which is necessary for him to be able to push forward. He completed the initial period of rehabilitation in his home country, then at Milanello he alternated between physiotherapy sessions, cycling, strength training in the gym.

He also did swimming and targeted exercises such as the AlterG treadmill (running in zero gravity to avoid carrying all his body weight on the leg). Finally, he ran and worked in the sand, before putting the boots back on.

Jahsari is eager to prove his worth and hopes to get a chance soon. It could be ‘a new signing’ before the January transfer window has even opened.
