GdS: Kim seeking return to Italy as ‘protagonist’ – Milan and Juventus interested

With news that AC Milan want to sign a central defender soon, the situation of Kim Min-Jae could be of interest in the mercato.

Despite the addition of Koni De Winter and David Odogu, Massimiliano Allegri still wants some defensive reinforcements. The idea of a senior defender has been heavily discussed, and the mercato is nearing.

Three names are being considered at the moment: Joe Gomez, Mario Gila and Thomas Kristensen. However, there could be an addition to that list in the near future, it seems.

Kim to return

This morning, Gazzetta dello Sport write that Kim, the former Napoli defender, is unhappy at Bayern Munich, having never established himself for the Bavarian giants. So the temptation of a return to Italy, where he feels he would be a ‘protagonist’ could be looked into.

He was available in the summer, but the Rossoneri never really made an attempt for the South Korean, but it seems he may also be on the mercato in the January mercato.

Though the same issue will probably remain. Both the Diavolo and Juventus are interested in the idea, but neither are willing to pay close to his €9 million salary, especially not for a defender. If he is to rediscover himself, it must be with a lower wage expectation.

Only then will Milan consider a pursuit.
