Maximilian Ibrahimovic is getting a taste of life with the senior squad, a report claims, as he joined first-team training.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, Maximilian Ibrahimovic’s face appears on the training video that Milan posted from Tuesday’s session. Zlatan’s son trained with the first team, and yes, he made quite an impression.

His father Zlatan wasn’t at the training ground because the occasion wasn’t particularly special. Massimiliano Allegri regularly calls some Primavera and Milan Futuro players to train with the first team.

Not the first time

In fact, Max Ibrahimovic even trained with the senior side when his dad was still playing, and yesterday he was joined by other youngsters like Geroli and Eletu.

After Milan’s 1-0 home win against Tottenham in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, the Rossoneri players who didn’t play were engaged a friendly match at Milanello against the U18 team.

Among them was Zlatan, who was lined up with the youth team, along with his son Maximilian. Why did he play on the same side as Max? The Swede revealed: “He was fired up, he said he wanted to injure me (laughs). I told the manager ‘listen, put us on the same team otherwise it won’t look good’.”

This season, Maximilian Ibrahimovic is playing for Milan Futuro in Serie D, coached by Massimo Oddo. He’s scored two goals so far and has played mostly as a winger. A full first-team call up is on the cards, but down the line. For now, he must just make a positive impression.
