GdS: Mexico to Milan – Gimenez’s form issues apparent but faith remains

There is something about Santiago Gimenez that is keeping AC Milan from giving up. The option is there, but they won’t. 

Tomorrow, Massimiliano Allegri could decide that he is done with Gimenez. However, he won’t. In fact, the Italian has consistently looked to support him in moments. After the game against Lecce, he praised him.

On Sunday night, he was seen asking for support from the stands for the striker. In his press conference, he again praised him. But why, when the results are not being shown positively?

Why not give up on Gimenez?

In the international break, Gimenez scored a beautiful goal for Mexico. However, as Gazzetta dello Sport reports, when he missed on Sunday, he was not upset or disappointed. Rather a blank canvas, just distant.

With his national team, he scores and provides. But in the Rossoneri, his struggles are evident, apparent.

During the summer, he was constantly linked with exits. However, he remains standing as Allegri’s only striker option and has a point to prove. It is a situation with as many downsides as upsides.

Allegri believes in him; that much is clear, and there is certainly a portion of San Siro that does. Perhaps it is just a bit of self-belief lacking. The results will hopefully be seen shortly. After all, there is proof of his quality; only the final bit is lacking.

When it arrives, the complete product will be worth it considering what he is now.
