AC Milan do not return to action until Friday night against Pisa, but information is emerging on the conditions of certain players.
After Tuesday’s win against Bologna and a recovery session the next day, Massimiliano Allegri gave his players some rest. Milan will not play this weekend, as the match against Como was postponed to February 18th due to San Siro being used for the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.
This afternoon, the team will meet at Milanello to begin preparations for their next match away against Pisa, scheduled for Friday at 20:45 CET. As the decisive part of the season approaches, it is yet another critical juncture, given Inter-Juventus and Napoli-Roma is that weekend too.
Leaning tower in sight
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning, Alexis Saelemaekers and Christian Pulisic – both of whom missed the trip to Bologna due to injury – have been at Milanello despite the three days off granted.

Saelemaekers was substituted at half-time against Roma due to a recurrence of the adductor problem he suffered at the end of the match against Lecce, while Pulisic is dealing with bursitis. The two are currently expected to resume full training in the middle of next week, and be available in Pisa.
Santiago Gimenez is recovering from ankle surgery and should return to the field at the end of March, and Niclas Fullkrug also appeared at Milanello yesterday as he continues to try and fully get rid of pain from a broken toe.
The condition of Rafael Leao – who continues to struggle with his well-known adductor issues – must also be evaluated. Unlike Saelemaerkes and Pulisic, the Portuguese was available in Bologna but remained on the bench for 90 minutes. The hope is that some rest can get him back to 100%.
