Throughout the summer, AC Milan considered making a move for Dusan Vlahovic. However, they never took the final steps.
Vlahovic was there all summer; that is the best way of describing it. Milan looked and looked and discussed. However, they never agreed on a deal. Nothing ever got past maybes, and now they could pay for that.
Recently, it seemed Inter were beginning discussions with his entourage, who were reportedly ‘open’ to the idea. So, it seemed like the chance could already be slipping. Now, it may have gone entirely.
Vlahovic out of reach
As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, via Calciomercato.com, the Serbian’s future looks ‘more abroad than Italy’. The reasoning is clear, after his start to the season, European clubs are interested, and Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and even Manchester United are considering moves.
Barring what would be a ‘surprise extension’, he will leave Turin in the summer for nothing. Staying in Italy remains an option, with both Milanese clubs remaining interested. However, neither can satisfy his €12 million per year requests.

Massimiliano Allegri’s pull brought Adrien Rabiot, but whether it can bring another disciple will be a test. This will also require an effort from the Diavolo; it is not solely on Allegri to make the moves. Instead, the wages must be considered.
