GdS: Milan must consider wider January picture for double signings

1 month ago 43

In an ideal world, AC Milan could register everyone they wanted to, without considering nationalities. However, that is not the case.

Building a squad is difficult enough for any team. It must be balanced, as well as featuring enough players and profiles. For Milan, this is already an issue in itself, with Massimiliano Allegri’s squad not exactly a deep one.

Of course, he has enough to get by, but it has not been exactly smooth sailing so far.

Worthwhile or not?

There can be no denying that reinforcements are needed this winter, and a few names have been considered so far. In fact, the Rossoneri have almost made their first addition, with Niclas Fullkrug heading to his medical this morning.

However, he should not be alone. Fabrizio Romano has reported that things are well underway to secure Andrej Kostic, whilst a move for Juan Arizala has already effectively been sealed.

As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, though, now they must consider their immediate futures. It seems both will head to the Futuro, but they could also be registered for the first team, allowing them to help when needed.

Doing so, though, would deprive the Rossoneri of two non-EU slots, which are essential. Whilst this would not deny any further signings, they would certainly have to make considerations, with at least another central defender required.
