GdS: Milan still eyeing Moise Kean – Fiorentina prepare counter-move but Allegri could be key

A crucial period is approaching in the future of Moise Kean at Fiorentina, and AC Milan are not yet out of the picture.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via ViolaNews) reports that behind a seemingly calm atmosphere, Kean’s future has entered its decisive phase. With Mateo Retegui’s imminent departure from European football to Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia), the scenario for the Fiorentina striker has changed.

A move to Saudi, at least for now, is not in the plans of the Italian striker as he has decided not to consider offers from that market. Everything will be decided in a crucial 48 hours: between Monday July 14th and Tuesday July 15th, his €52m release clause will expire.

Kean eyed by Milan and Manchester United

In the Premier League, Manchester United remains vigilant. The Viktor Gyökeres option (heading for Arsenal) has almost completely faded away, so the Red Devils are evaluating new attacking solutions and Kean represents a suitable profile to rejuvenate the department.

In Italy, however, attention is on Milan. Despite the denials, Kean’s name remains on the radar, and his relationship with Massimiliano Allegri – who launched him at Juventus and continues to hold him in high regard – could play a role.

The Rossoneri are looking for a versatile second striker, preferably Italian, and Kean’s name could come back into the frame at the last minute. In the meantime, Fiorentina have already made their move: a renewal until 2029 is ready, with a pay rise to €4m net per season.

It is a clear sign of the club and president Commisso’s desire to focus heavily on him. For now, Kean is and remains a Viola player. But time is running out, and with that clause things could accelerate.
