AC Milan’s game against Genoa on Thursday night will give them the chance to watch a summer transfer target up close, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan’s goal tomorrow night at San Siro will naturally be the three points to continue putting pressure on the teams around them, Inter and Napoli above all.
However, the management will also have a look at how Brooke Norton-Cuffy does. The English full-back, born in 2004, will likely challenge Davide Bartesaghi in a duel down Milan’s left flank that promises to be exciting.
It will be a good test for both, but especially for the Genoa player, who has attracted the interest of several Serie A teams in this first half of the season, including Milan.
A continued rise
Who is Norton-Cuffy? He arrived in Liguria in August 2024 on a permanent deal from Arsenal for around €2m plus bonuses. He was rarely seen in his first season in Italy due to injuries (just 14 Serie A appearances), but since August he has definitely turned things around.
He has taken over the starting spot and has impressed with his physicality and his contribution in both phases. Norton-Cuffy is fast and isn’t afraid to use his size, which makes him a tough opponent for anyone that has to come up against him.

Juventus were the first to spot his potential, likely after the Genoa match where the Englishman made life difficult for Yildiz. The Bianconeri have already explored the possibility of signing him in January, but the Rossoblu would prefer to postpone the sale until the summer.
This is precisely where Milan could step in, especially if the Rossoneri return to the Champions League. Norton-Cuffy is seen as a potential substitute for Saelemaekers, a bit more capable than Athekame.
There’s competition (not just from Juventus, but also from Premier League clubs), and the price tag is already expected to be around the €15-20m range. If he keeps playing well and passes his audition, it could rise further.
