Massimiliano Allegri has decided to keep the AC Milan squad at Milanello overnight, while Cristian Chivu and Inter will reconvene in the morning ahead of the big derby.
As is often the case when big games are around the corner, a lot of focus is placed on the preparations, down to the details as well. Managers usually have their own ways of doing things, as Milan certainly experienced last season with the switch from Paulo Fonseca to Sergio Conceicao.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), while there are similarities, Milan and Inter’s schedules differ quite a lot. Allegri decided to host the press conference before today’s training session, while Chivu will have his afterwards.

Furthermore, while the Inter players will leave the training ground to sleep at home with their families tonight, the Milan players will remain at Milanello. Again, there’s no right or wrong on this front, but it’s just interesting to see the different approaches from the managers.
Another thing to note schedule-wise is that Milan, as the designated away side tomorrow, will get to the San Siro first (around 18:35 CET). There will surely be many fans present to greet them, or rather taunt them on this occasion.
