GdS: Okafor still heading for Milan summer exit despite Liverpool brace

2 hours ago 46

After scoring twice against Liverpool, some may expect that Noah Okafor could be given a chance. However, it seems this is not the case for AC Milan.

When he returned from Napoli, Okafor was not seen as a player who would come back into the squad. Instead, it seemed a temporary return to facilitate a move – permanent or otherwise – elsewhere. However, this has not happened yet.

There has been interest, mainly from Brazil and Bologna. Though progress has not really been made. Saying that, after two goals against the reigning Premier League champions, this could change shortly.

No dice

For the Rossoneri, there will be no changes, though, as Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that he will still leave Milan this summer. He is making the most of the opportunities given to him, but the writing is still on the wall.

The brace, though further proof of his hope to change his fate, should not really have an impact, with him still on the planned exit list. There have been no concrete offers yet, barring the one from Flamengo, but there is still time.

A move within Europe is the preference, and with the Rossoblu taking note, this could be a route with potential. It remains to be seen, though.
