AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has decided on the team he will field against Cesc Fabregas’ Como tonight.
There is the risk of quite a big gap opening at the top of Serie A, as Inter moved six points clear by scraping past Lecce last night at San Siro. If Milan fail to beat Como – after Napoli drew with Parma – then the Nerazzurri will feel like frontrunners, albeit with a lot of games to go.
Como vs. AC Milan: Predicted starting XIs
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri has made his final calls on the team that will start tonight’s match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
It starts with a three-man defence of Fikayo Tomori (back from suspension), Matteo Gabbia and Koni De Winter (in for the injured Strahinja Pavlovic) in front of Mike Maignan.
The midfield line will contain Alexis Saelemaekers and Davide Bartesaghi as the wing-backs, with Youssouf Fofana and Adrien Rabiot either side of Luka Modric in the midfield three.
Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao will lead the line, with Christian Pulisic dropping to the bench (but still has a 30% chance of starting as per the paper). Niclas Füllkrug has made a miraculous recovery from a broken toe and should be on the bench.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Tomori; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Leao.
Predicted Milan bench: Terracciano, Torriani, Athekame, Dutu, Odogu, Pavlovic, Estupinan, Loftus-Cheek, Jashari, Ricci, Nkunku.
Predicted Como XI (4-2-3-1): Butez; Smolcic, Kempf, Diego Carlos, Valle; Perrone, Da Cunha; Vojvoda, Paz, Rodriguez; Douvikas.
Predicted Como bench: Vigorito, Cavlina, Ramon, Dossena, Moreno, Caqueret, Roberto, Baturina, Posch, Van der Brempt, Cerri, Kuhn, Le Borgne.
