After four consecutive wins, Massimiliano Allegri isn’t expected to make many changes for AC Milan’s starting eleven against Juventus, understandably so.
Bar the Cremonese defeat, it has been a great start to the season for Milan as they now sit at the top of the league standings. The success against Napoli was a huge confidence boost for the Rossoneri, especially since they played most of the second half with ten men.
Another tough clash awaits, though, as Milan will be up against Juventus away from home tomorrow. Fikayo Tomori has returned to group training and will thus be available, which is good news, but it’s not certain that he will start.
No surprises for Milan
According to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Koni De Winter is still favoured for the spot to the right in defence. Davide Bartesaghi is also ready to take Pervis Estupinan’s spot as the left-back is suspended, following the red card last time out.
This means that only two changes, both forced, are expected from Allegri. We have seen at the start of the season that consistency is key, but there are still some great options for the manager off the bench. Samuele Ricci, Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku come to mind…
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Gimenez, Pulisic.
Predicted Juventus XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Joao Mario, Gatti, Kelly; Kalulu, Locatelli, McKennie, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Vlahovic.
