GdS: Pulisic nearing return whilst Gimenez ruled out – the injury news before Lazio-Milan

Lazio will host AC Milan this week, after they were hosted at San Siro this weekend. However, the Rossoneri may have a new face in the team.

At the weekend, Milan won their eighth game of the season against a Lazio side who have been quite hit and miss so far this season. The Laziali have a split record, and they will hope to get their own back in midweek.

Injury updates

The Coppa Italia is one of the targets for the Rossoneri this season, and if they get past one of the big teams from Serie A, it would be a big help towards doing so, and they could be boosted by a return.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Christian Pulisic is not a guarantee to feature, but he is close to returning to group training. On Monday, he trained by himself, but the report states that he could be among his teammates as early as today, if not tomorrow afternoon.

Whether he features will be dependent on how he feels after the session; if there are no worries, he will feature. Elsewhere, the cup game will be too early for Santiago Gimenez, who is fighting to return. The Mexican is getting there, but he is definitely not ready for this game.
