When Adrien Rabiot became linked to AC Milan in the summer, it was not a shock. In fact, most expected it. Now, though, it is clear to see why Massimiliano Allegri tried so hard to sign him.
Adding Rabiot in the summer seemed like a guarantee when Allegri arrived. After all, the Frenchman is one of the Italian’s favourite players and it is understandable why. With him in the team, the Rossoneri are noticeably better.
Allegri’s desire proven right
Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes that the former Juventus man was ‘arguably’ the best signing of the summer. Whether anyone can really debate that is a question which is becoming harder with time.
Signed after the Cremonese game, where the Diavolo lacked structure, he has provided a new life to the team, and established himself as a key man from the off. He inspires others around him while making things harder for those against him.
With him in the team, they have won five games and drawn one, a fantastic record in itself. However, he has also helped defensively, with only one goal conceded with him in the team.
After his injury, there can be no denying that Milan looked worse. Now, though, that is a distant issue. Allegri and the Rossoneri are enjoying the Frenchman, who certainly looks to be fundamental to everything.
