AC Milan were forced to stop their afternoon training session in Hong Kong earlier today due to rain and lightning strikes, according to a report.
Milan are currently in Hong Kong for their second pre-season friendly, taking on Liverpool tomorrow. Max Allegri and Youssouf Fofana both spoke to the media before today’s afternoon training session, highlighting that it will be a difficult game.
The midfielder was also asked about the weather conditions as there has been quite a lot of rain in Hong Kong recently. While he said that it wouldn’t change anything, as both teams are playing with the same conditions, he got a taste of the effects shortly thereafter.
Storm brings training to a halt
Indeed, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s training session was brought to an abrupt end just minutes after it started due to heavy rain and lightning strikes. The Rossoneri quickly made their way back to the locker room, where they waited for the weather to improve.
Thankfully for the 10k fans that were present at the stadium, the conditions improved and Milan were able to resume their training session. One can only hope that there won’t be too many issues tomorrow, with kick-off scheduled for 13:30 CEST.
