After last season, it would not be a surprise if the order of AC Milan Futuro changed a little. Whilst it has remained the same largely, there is a slight change.
Jovan Kirovski was reported to be staying in his role as the director of the Futuro in weeks gone by, and whilst it seemed to be a bit of a shock after the squad’s underperformance, it will not be changed now.
However, it seems he may not hold as much responsibility as he did last season.
Tare, Ibrahimovic, Kirovski
This afternoon, Gazzetta dello Sport confirms, again, that Kirovski will remain the Futuro’s reference point. Everything will be decided by him. However, he will now also have to report to Igli Tare, the new sporting director, meaning there is an extra level of clearance and knowledge.
Ultimately, it all then builds into the same thing. Having a good, and working – which is important – youth system is a much needed thing at the elite level.
Interestingly, Kirovski will also now be supervised by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede has been given this task on behalf of RedBird, to ensure that things are working as they should, and that standards are maintained. Additionally, the trio will work closely with Vergine, the manager of the youth sector.
