GdS: Tare bows out of pre-season tour in Asia to remain in Milan – the reason

Igli Tare has decided to remain in Milano throughout the course of AC Milan’s pre-season in Asia and Australia, giving him more time to focus on the mercato.

As Milan started their journey to Singapore last night, it was confirmed that sporting director Tare isn’t taking part in the pre-season. Instead, as highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning (see photo below), he has opted to stay in Milan.

Now that he won’t have to visit the training sessions every day, he will have even more time to work on the mercato. The Rossoneri still need quite a few signings and it’s important to get some done before the team returns to Europe.

Among others, Pervis Estupinan has ended up at the top of the wish list and there could be a decisive meeting next week. Tare is also pushing for Ardon Jashari, of course, and there might be some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

It feels like a very good decision to remain in Milan, as such, and it remains to be seen if he can get some deals over the line. In the meantime, Max Allegri is relying on a 26-man squad for the upcoming friendlies against Arsenal, Liverpool and Perth Glory.
