The transfer window has come to an end and AC Milan have failed to bring in the striker they wanted, but Massimiliano Allegri is focused on the field.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) recall, in his pre-Bologna press conference, Allegri stated – as he has in the past -that he was happy with the players he has at his disposal. After Jean-Philippe Mateta’s move collapsed due to a failed medical, he will have to be content.
From now until the end of the season, it will be pointless – or at least partially pointless – to talk about revolution within the squad. From now on, the focus will be solely on the pitch, starting with the difficult away match in Bologna.
The need to win
The Rossoneri have only one goal: to win. Inter are currently eight points behind and show no signs of slowing down. Currently, Milan seem to be the main challengers for the Scudetto, but Napoli and Juventus are breathing down their necks.
The key period of the season arrives between February and March, as Max has always defined it. The head coach knows how to manage moments of fire, and the away match in Emilia kicks off a crucial month while rivals have Champions League commitments.

Milan, with a win tonight, will be able to put further pressure on the Nerazzurri, waiting for a potential slip-up. There will be time to discuss future plans regarding transfers as the summer window approaches, now the Diavolo will have to prove themselves.
The first step towards staying on the title train is here, the beginning of a mini-season within the campaign that will end in a few months. Milan must respond, without a new centre-forward and with a very thin attack due to various injuries.
