AC Milan have signed a player who has aged like a fine wine: Luka Modric. Though he has only been a Rossonero for a few months, he has always loved these colours.

There are countless stories of Modric and his love for Milan from when he was a boy. Unfortunately, countless tales of his childhood were rarely about him being a boy, but a small dot in a much bigger picture, away from football.

Modric memories

In Madrid, he and the stadium were brought to tears when it was revealed that he would no longer be a Galactico. There is a good reason for this, which the Diavolo are already trying to learn. A fantastic midfielder who defined a generation for Los Blancos.

With the side, he won six Champions League titles in 11 years, and he ‘rekindled the lights of the Bernabeu’ during his time alongside Toni Kroos and Casemiro. Through that time, as legends came and passed, Modric stayed, never booed or jeered, just appreciated, another sign of his quality.

The war changed his life, and more importantly, his family. Perhaps that’s why Milan are now given the gift of Modric, a determination to keep going. As Gazzetta relay, the war is not something he talks about or wants to think about. However, he does not want to forget it, either.
