AC Milan will meet with Mike Maignan’s entourage before the end of the month to discuss his possible contract extension, it is claimed.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), a meeting is scheduled for two weeks between Milan and the goalkeeper’s agent, at least to understand the direction of travel. After the new offer for a contract renewal presented to Maignan a few days ago, the parties will sit down at the table.
Confidence growing
The stance of the Rossoneri is clear: Mike will be given the opportunity to decide his future calmly because no one wants to risk undermining the captain’s serenity at such a delicate moment in the season.
However, the club – which made a significant financial effort by offering him the same salary as Leao (€5.5m plus €1.5m in bonuses) – want to see if there’s any room to get things done quickly. Otherwise, they will inevitably have to deepen their search for a goalkeeper for 2026-27 and beyond.

Milan are convinced they’ve done everything possible to avoid losing their starting goalkeeper, and the management can also count on the support of Allegri, who is is a huge fan of the Frenchman, as are his team-mates.
Are there any signs? Maignan is feeling better this season and doesn’t hide it. That’s why, if last summer everyone thought this season would turn into a long goodbye, now the scenario is different.
